Shourai Marine Claims was established by Capt. Saumitr Sen who has over 32 years of experience in the marine field.

We provide excellent claims support and consultancy to top Marine Insurers, Brokers and Vessel Owners and assist them worldwide, for handling all types of marine claims and casualties. We are also U.K. correspondents to Swedish club and Japan P&I club. 

 

Capt. Sen is a Younger Brethren at Trinity House in addition to having qualifications and membership from Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers and Chartered Insurance Institute UK. He acts as an expert witness in marine litigation matters.

 

Capt. Sen is assisted in London and Singapore by his muti-disciplinary experience team comprising of Warner Gomes and Capt. Sheinnorn Rodrigues in London; Capt. Talwar and Capt. Thu in Singapore. 

 

Warner is a Marine Engineer by qualification, who brings extensive and wide experience from his years of sailing, surveying, and claims handling service to Shourai Marine. 

 

Capt. Rodrigues is a master mariner, DNV-GL approved auditor, and experienced claims handler and surveyor.

 

Capt. Talwar brings his extensive experience of working in global ship management companies. He is also a Diploma Holder in Maritime Law and Arbitration and is based in Singapore.

 

Capt. M.K. Thu is a very experienced marine surveyor who worked for reputable survey firms in Singapore. He brings his surveying, sea faring and claims handling skills to the team.

 

The team together expertise in dealing with complex and routine H&M and P&I Liability Claims involving collisions, grounding, salvage operations, machinery failures, personal injury, pollution, stowaways and cargo liability cases.

The team also deals with all types of Marine Cargo claims for Cargo Underwriters & Brokers.
